KHUSHBU PASI

I am married and I have two children. I belong to a poor family. I do not have any educational qualification and have never received any formal training. I always thought that I could only be a domestic maid and shall have to spend my life cleaning utensils and mopping floors in somebody’s home. In 2018, I joined the NGO Recycle to Save Resources Foundation and my life changed after that. I started off with sorting and washing of perused clothes. Gradually I learnt cutting, stitching and button fixing skills. We also put up stalls where we interact with customers. I think I also learnt a bit of salespersonship. I have flexible working hours. Now I am confident because of the skills I learnt here. I see a future here.

SUMAN THAKUR

I am married and I have a child. I am also studying for my graduate degree. My family is very poor. I know a bit of of stitching and tailoring. I Came to know about the NGO Recycle To Save Resources Foundation through my teacher. I requested Mrs Anagha Paul ,the Secretary NGO Recycle To Save Resources Foundation to provide me some assistance. I was provided with a motorized sewing machine which Increased my output. I can now stitch more clothes in less time now. My capacity to earn has increased and so has my confidence. I am grateful to the institution for this help. I am trying to donate to the NGO an amount equivalent to the cost of the machine in installments so that the NGO can help some other women who need such assistance.

HARJINDER KAUR

I am around 58 yrs old. At this age it is hard to find a regular job. I joined this NGO in 2018 as a machine embroidery trainer but while working I also learnt cutting and stitching of different articles . I have learnt several things and love the concept of our NGO. This is a source of income, learning and above all joy for me. Instead of growing old sitting at home, I feel self sufficient, confident and contented being here.

ARTI SHRIVAS

Life was never easy for me.My parents died when I was 9 yrs old. I used to make papads with my elder sister to earn our livelihood. After her marriage I worked at a local ready-made garments factory. The working hours were too long and remuneration was too less. Above all the work was monotonous and there was no scope for learning anything new for better prospects in my life.
In 2017 I joined the NGO Recycle to save resources Foundation and my life changed. Here we have fixed working hrs, get mid day meals and regular income. I learnt so many new things. We often go to distribute stuff among needy. It is very satisfying. With the support of NGO, I am also pursuing my studies. I hope for a good future.
